Biography
Kevin Brooks is the Director of the Program Evaluation & Health Services Research Unit at the Institute for Health Policy. He leads a dynamic team of professionals supporting the efforts of Michigan’s health information technologies (HIT) / health information exchange (HIE) initiatives by designing and implementing analytic projects and processes intended to document the evolution of HIT/HIE in the state. He also leads the Institute's Program Evaluation and Health Services Research unit.
Kevin has secured multiple years of funding and has produced many presentations and manuscripts on the subject of HIT/HIE.
Kevin is a certified SAS user with extensive training in biopharmaceutical and big-data analytics. Kevin teaches graduate courses in epidemiology, biostatistics, and healthcare analytics and holds a MSc and PhD in epidemiology from Michigan State University.
